3.5 out of 5 Stars!
The debut album by this California band sounds like a cross between heavy AOR, Pomp Rock, Prog-Rock, and Prog-Metal, with a singer that brings to mind vocalists such as Fergie Fredericksen (Trillion, Le Roux, Toto) and Geoff Tate (Queenryche). His wide range is one of the high points of this release.
The music itself seems to take the best elements from acts such as Kansas, Fates Warning, Giuffria, and Styx, mixing them together into a highly melodic and fairly energetic Arena-Rock type of package. So not exactly Prog-Rock, more like commercially charged and bright AOR, but enjoyable nonetheless.
